Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FirstLine Marketplace ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Eligibility & Verification

FirstLine Marketplace is exclusively for verified first responders and their immediate family members. Eligible members include, but are not limited to:

• Law enforcement officers (police, sheriff, state troopers)
• Firefighters (career and volunteer)
• Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics
• 911 dispatchers and emergency communications personnel
• Corrections officers
• Search and rescue personnel
• Military service members (active duty, reserve, and veterans)
• Immediate family members of the above

Users must verify their status through a government email address (.gov, .mil, .us) or by submitting a verification application that is reviewed and approved by our administrative team. Providing false or misleading information during verification is grounds for immediate account termination.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You may not create multiple accounts, impersonate another person, or transfer your account to another individual.

4. Listing Guidelines

When posting listings on FirstLine Marketplace, you agree to the following:

• All listings must be accurate and not misleading
• Photos must accurately represent the item, service, or property being listed
• Prices must be stated honestly and in US dollars
• Listings must be placed in the appropriate category and subcategory
• A valid US zip code must be provided for all listings
• You must have the legal right to sell any item you list

5. Prohibited Content

The following types of content and listings are strictly prohibited:

• Illegal items or services, including controlled substances
• Stolen property or items with removed serial numbers
• Firearms and ammunition (must comply with all federal, state, and local laws)
• Counterfeit or replica items presented as genuine
• Discriminatory, hateful, or threatening content
• Sexually explicit material
• Spam, phishing, or fraudulent listings
• Multi-level marketing (MLM) or pyramid scheme promotions
• Items that violate intellectual property rights
• Any content that could endanger public safety

6. Transactions

FirstLine Marketplace is a platform that connects buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction between users. All transactions are conducted directly between users, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items listed. Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before completing any transaction. We strongly recommend following our Safety Tips when meeting in person.

7. Promotional Advertising

Users may purchase promotional boosts to increase the visibility of their listings. Promotional fees are non-refundable once the promotion period has begun. Promoted listings must still comply with all listing guidelines and prohibited content rules. We reserve the right to remove promoted listings that violate our Terms without issuing a refund.

8. Messaging & Communication

The Platform provides an in-app messaging system for users to communicate about listings. You agree not to use the messaging system for spam, harassment, solicitation, or any purpose unrelated to legitimate marketplace activity. Messages may be monitored for safety and compliance purposes.

9. Content Moderation & Enforcement

We reserve the right to remove any listing, message, or account that violates these Terms at our sole discretion. Users who repeatedly violate our guidelines may have their accounts suspended or permanently terminated. We may also cooperate with law enforcement authorities when required by law or when we believe in good faith that such cooperation is necessary to protect the safety of our community.

10. Limitation of Liability

FirstLine Marketplace is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to losses from transactions, unauthorized account access, or service interruptions. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Privacy

We collect and use personal information as described in our privacy practices. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of information as outlined. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Verification information (such as department details and badge numbers) is used solely for identity verification and is kept confidential.
